What is Fat Injection?
Fat injection is the process of increasing the volume and fullness of this area by injecting the fat cells taken from the human body into a certain area. This procedure is generally preferred on the face, lips, hips, legs, chest, arms and back. This method is known as a non-surgical aesthetic procedure.
How is Fat Injection Performed?
Fat injection consists of two stages:
- Fat Removal Stage: In this stage, fat cells are taken from a predetermined area of the patient. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia and the area that is usually treated is the leg or abdomen.
- Fat Injection Stage: In the second stage, the prepared fat cells are injected into the area desired by the patient. Injected fat cells permanently increase the volume and fullness of this area.
What are the Points to Consider Before and After Fat Injection?
Before the oil injection, the patient should not consume alcohol for a certain period of time and should not use blood thinners. In addition, before the procedure, the patient should discuss with his doctor in detail, and clearly understand the characteristics and results of the area where the procedure will be performed. It is also recommended that the patient be at a healthy weight.
After the fat injection, patients need to be careful for a certain period of time. After the procedure, a slight swelling, redness and pain may occur in the area. These symptoms usually go away after a short time. It is recommended that the patient rest and avoid heavy work for 3-4 days after the procedure. In order to accelerate the healing process, it is recommended that patients follow a healthy diet and reduce their smoking and alcohol consumption. The healing process takes approximately 1-2 weeks to complete.
As a result, the fat injection process, if done correctly, can give long-lasting and permanent results. It is important for patients to be careful before and after the procedure and to comply with the doctor’s recommendations.
